APPLETON, Wis. (AP) -- Logan Farrar hit a two-run triple in the ninth inning, leading the Beloit Snappers to a 4-1 win over the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on Wednesday.
The triple by Farrar, part of a three-run inning, gave the Snappers a 3-1 lead before Jesus Lopez hit an RBI double later in the inning.
In the top of the second, Beloit took the lead on a double by Jordan Devencenzi that scored Hunter Hargrove. Wisconsin answered in the fifth inning when Tristen Lutz hit a solo home run.
Mitchell Jordan (1-0) got the win with four innings of scoreless, two-hit relief while Gabe Friese (0-2) took the loss in the Midwest League game.
Lutz homered and doubled for the Timber Rattlers.
