After opening the Southern Class A Legion Baseball District Tournament in Butte with a 13-3 win over the Butte Muckers, the Helena Reps dropped their next contest to the Gallatin Valley Outlaws 7-0.

In the six-inning, run-rule win over the Muckers, Helena banged out 15 hits, powered by the three-hit performances of Caeden Suero (triple, two RBIs) and Walter Evans (two runs, two RBIs).

Teammates Ty McGurran and Kadyn Craigle (double) had two base knocks each, while Brady Anderson was high with three RBIs.

Riley Chisholm, Nik Jemmings and Evans collaborated on the mound work for the Reps.

GVO's Emry Olsztyn fired a two-hitter in the shutout against Helena, with seven strikeouts. Thomas Carlson (3 for 4, two doubles, two RBIs) and Michael Nehring (2 for 4, triple, three RBIs) paced the Outlaws 11-hit output.

Helena's Ryan Barrett was saddled with the loss. Anderson and Craigle had the team's only hits.
