With pitcher Keaton Ralston twirling a six-hitter, and his teammates rapping out four extra-base hits and committing just one error in the field, the Helena Senators tamed the Butte Miners on Tuesday, 11-1 in seven innings.
The win moves coach Dave Thennis' Senators to 29-21 on the year.
Ralston struck out six Butte batsman and walked just one during the run-rule Class AA victory at Kindrick Legion Field. Liam Sommer took the loss.
Helena streaked out to a 4-0 first-inning lead, before adding two runs each in the third, fourth and fifth innings. The Miners ruined Ralston's shutout bid in the fourth frame, pushing across their only run of the night.
In the bottom of the seventh, the Senators tallied a marker to impose the 10-run mercy rule.
Kienan Stief, Colin Sassano and Isaiah Meza led the hosts' 10-hit attack, with two base knocks apiece.
Stief blasted a home run and posted three RBIs, while Sassano belted a triple and drove in a pair of runs. Meza ripped two doubles and posted a couple RBIs.
Also driving in runs for the local nine were twins Carter and Payton Pappas.
Ax Henningson had two singles for the Mining City crew, while Austin Gerry drove in the visitors' lone run.
