I have so very much enjoyed and appreciated the opportunity to walk my aging dogs in Centennial Park ever since its very inception. I think many of us feel the same way. However, this year I have noticed SO many people breaking the rules, especially for the last few months. People are running their dogs loose in all of the ballpark areas every day, rather than using the dog park area. My dogs and I can't walk the whole park due to age -- so for us, taking the route we take, it gets my dogs really upset to see that freedom happening. Recently, a man with his dog off leash got totally rude with me when I questioned him for allowing his dog to approach my 14-year-old who cannot withstand getting that excited due to her spinal fragility. Point being: Why do people ruin everything -- including a beautiful city park that the city created for us? Is it because people are just NOT capable of being grateful and following a few simple rules so all of us can enjoy what we have been given?
