Most everybody in Montana loves fishing. There are also thousands and thousands of people who come to the Treasure State just for the fishing.

This time of year is the time when ice fishing in Montana is at its very best. Well, anglers, take ice fishing tips from this young Swedish man at your own risk. Fireworks may not catch you many fish, but they sure do deliver quite the entertaining method for breaking the ice.

In this video, a young man with a broom pokes a hole through the ice of what can be assumed to be a lake. He then takes a (fairly large) rocket firework, lights the fuse, and puts it under the water just as the rocket’s main fuel chamber ignites. It shoots a fair distance from the dock, and then…

BOOM.

Note to kids (and adults): Don’t ever try this. It's against the law in the United States. Just be grateful that they tried it, succeeded and filmed it for our viewing pleasure.
