Officials have identified a Bozeman man who died in a two-vehicle crash 8 miles south of Townshend Saturday night.
Tanner Scott Moe, 37, died from blunt force trauma after the vehicle he was driving slid sideways on the icy road surface while heading northbound on Montana Highway 287, according to Broadwater County Sheriff Wynn Meehan.
The driver's side door of Moe's vehicle was then struck by a Ford F-350, Meehan said. Moe was pronounced dead at the scene.
Moe had previously lived in Billings and had a Billings driver's license, Meehan added, leading law enforcement to initially report him as a resident of that city.
Four other people were injured in the crash.
