KALISPELL (AP) - The Flathead County animal shelter will find new homes for 37 Siberian husky dogs rescued from an abusive owner.
Shelter volunteers have been working to help the dogs adjust to better treatment.
In late June, 25 Siberian huskies were rescued from dirty trailers in Evergreen. They were covered in fecal matter and didn't have food and water readily available.
Soon after they were rescued, three adult dogs died from poor health. Two of the dogs had puppies.
Earlier this month Juanita McGranor pleaded guilty to animal cruelty.
