Donald Trump Jr. will return to Montana next week, appearing in Helena, Great Falls and Sidney to campaign for Republican congressional candidate Greg Gianforte.

Trump Jr. will speak at the Kleffner ranch near Helena at 9 a.m. on May 11, Lewis and Clark County Central Committee Chairman Joe Dooling confirmed. Tickets will be $10.

Gianforte will also attend the Helena event, he said.

While the Helena event is still being organized, Dooling expects Trump Jr. to talk about national issues and what President Trump is working on. Tickets are available by calling 431-3510 or 471-4125, he said.

The president's eldest son will then appear that afternoon at the Richland County Fairgrounds in Sidney. Doors open at 12:15 p.m. Admission costs $10. Register at

Details on the Great Falls event were not yet available.

Gianforte is running to replace Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, who resigned Montana’s only U.S. House seat in early March to become a Trump Cabinet member. His main opponent is Democrat Rob Quist, a Montana musician from Creston. Inverness rancher Mark Wicks is the Libertarian candidate.

President Donald Trump won Montana by 20 points in November, and Gianforte has championed himself as "someone who will work with President Trump."

Trump Jr. campaigned in Montana last month on behalf of Gianforte, speaking in Kalispell, Hamilton and Billings.

Election Day is Thursday, May 25. Absentee ballots can be picked up at elections offices for early voting. Ballots were mailed out May 1.
