On behalf of the Montana Conservation Corps (MCC) I want to thank the 11 volunteers who came out to work with us and Prickly Pear Land Trust (PPLT) on the Wakina Sky Trail for National Public Lands Day on Sept. 24. Work was performed on a quarter mile of new trail which included widening and erosion control. Local participants included: Jim Auer, Ben Pepka, James Buscher, Valerie and Lindsey Belliveau, Jennifer Griggs, Normal Tirrell, Sara Sparks, Meredith Wyse and Audrey and Lila Reynolds, as well as representatives from both the MCC and PPLT. This group plus an estimated 180,000 other volunteers around the country helped to do their part for America’s public lands by building trails, pulling invasive weeds, removing trash and having fun getting back to nature. Thanks!
