As a mother of four children ranging in age from 5 to newborn, I have heard many a “play date” discussion and debate regarding the Helena Public School District curriculum.

In all my conversations this summer it dawned on me that one voice of education has been overlooked — Montessori. My two daughters attended Morning Sun Montessori School last year and are enrolled this year as well. Class sizes are small, the curriculum is rich and the teachers are working to educate the whole child while including the entire family.

Their kindergarten program is full or half-day, and children at all levels excel in appropriate and meaningful academic skills such as math, reading, cultural awareness and much more. If you are like me, a mother embarking on a new chapter of motherhood, perhaps Morning Sun Montessori can help you set sail as it has me and my children.
