Mail-in voting is currently underway in Lewis and Clark County.
The county has sent out 39,000 ballots for the mail-in election so far, and they must be returned no later than 8 p.m. Nov. 7 to be counted. Call the county elections office at 447-8339 to request a ballot.
In addition to voting on an operational levy for the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center, Helena voters will elect a mayor, two city commissioners and four members of the District 1 Neighborhood Council. To better inform the community about the candidates, the Independent Record asked all of them to provide written responses to a list of survey questions.
Here is what they had to say.
