A Helena woman died early Sunday at St. Peter's Health following a wreck Saturday evening.
Emergency services responded shortly after 8 p.m. to the area of Boulder Avenue and North Dakota Street to an injury accident requiring extrication.
The vehicle was eastbound on Helena Avenue when the adult woman, who was driving, may have experienced a medical episode. She went off the roadway and hit a tree near the Hustad Center, Helena Police Cpt. Curt Stinson said.
The woman was transported to St. Peter's, where she died shortly after midnight, Lewis and Clark Deputy Coroner Tim Wong said.
Release of the name of the woman will likely come on Monday following notification of the family.
An adult male passenger experienced minor injuries, Stinson said.
