With the new year just around the corner, Karma (pictured) and Sophie, are determined to start 2018 off in a forever home. Ready for a new life full of love, these two amazing animals are at the Lewis & Clark Humane Society hoping you will make a resolution to adopt a four-legged friend for the new year!
For Karma, life hasn’t always been easy. When her family was evicted from their home, Karma and her little brother came to the shelter. It’s been a month since her arrival, and she still has no adopter in sight. With the New Year quickly approaching Karma has one resolution: to spend her days napping in a loving home. Karma is a sweet, lazy, people-pleaser. She’s the best at napping, and when she’s not napping Karma follows her human around helping with the daily chores. Her warm personality makes her a great companion for 2018.
While Karma wants to find a home to laze about in, Sophie wants the opposite. You see, this hefty gal is ready to lose some weight and gain some confidence. She’s so committed to this goal, she’s even changed her name from Snickers to Sophie so she doesn’t think about eating all the time. Her motto is “new year, new me” and she plans on sticking to her weight loss goal but she needs your help. She is hoping her new adopter will help her on her journey to a healthier lifestyle through obedience classes and walks around the neighborhood. Couple some outdoor activities with a diet and you will have sweet Sophie looking slim in no time! When the daily exercise is over, Sophie is always happy to cuddle with you for a nice nap. A home where Sophie can be the only pet would be best. Help this lady fulfill her New Year’s resolution; adopt Sophie today.
Stop by the Lewis & Clark Humane Society, 2112 East Custer, today between 12-4:30 to fall in love with Sophie, Karma and the rest of the shelter gang!
