Our beloved Tristen Jerome McCann, our T-Man, Lil T, T-Bone, was lifted up to heaven to be with his papa on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012.
Lil T was born at St. Lukes Hospital in Boise, Idaho, on Feb. 9, 2011, to his loving parents Desiree’ and Cooper McCann. Since the day he came into our arms, he has brought nothing but sunshine, joy, laughter and unconditional love to everyone that he has met.
T-man always kept us on our toes with finger-painting and reading lots of books, and he enjoyed exploring places you’d never believe. He enjoyed being a mini-geologist, a chicken feeder and a professional dancer.
Although he only had a short time with the love of his life, his little sister, Isabella, it was love at first sight. His favorite pastime was helping feed “his baby” and giving her lots of kisses.
Living family members that will honor Tristen Jerome’s life are his parents, Cooper and Desiree’ McCann; his sister, Isabella Kate; his grandparents, Pat (Patti Jo) McCann, Patti (Steven) Garback and Pamela West; great-grandmother, Doloris Paul; uncles, Benny (Julie) West and Dustin Hanson; aunts, Tara (Jason) Kough, Dawn McKlosky, Kristi McKlosky and Carissa Emmet; and many amazing cousins, extended family, and friends.
Tristen was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Jerome and Nora McCann, Daniel Paul, and Maurice and Janette West.
A vigil will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, at Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service in Bozeman. Burial will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, at 10 a.m. at Sunset Hills Cemetery near Lindley Park in Bozeman, followed by a celebration of life at 11 a.m. at Connect Church in Four Corners. Tristen enjoyed balloons, so in honor of him we will do a balloon release at noon. If unable to attend, you are welcome to join us in saying a prayer and releasing your own balloon.
In lieu of flowers, please bring a child’s toy to donate in memory of Tristen for Toys for Tots. Memorials may also be sent to Big Sky Western Bank, c/o Cooper and Desiree McCann, P.O. Box 667, Bozeman, MT 59771, with “Tristen Memorial Fund” in the memo line.
“This is every parent’s worst nightmare. Remember, that there is another who lost a Son, and she is likely holding Tristen in her arms right now. She of all people knows how you feel, and will take special care of your baby until you are with him again.”
Arrangements are in the care of Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service. www.dokkennelson.com
