On Tuesday, November 7, 2017, we said goodbye to our friend, father, son, brother and husband, Scott Gale Sargent. “Sarge”, 50, passed away peacefully from the effects of septic shock. He was surrounded by friends and family which is how he would have wanted it. Born Aug 3, 1967 to Gale and Robin Sargent of East Helena, he is survived by his wife, Lori, son Wiley, mother Robin, brother Ken, and sister Lynn Maness along with many nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Welcoming him home are his father Gale, and sister in law, Tressa, and grandparents Jack and Pearl Walsh and Dan and Ellen Sargent. He graduated Helena High in 1986, attended Western Montana College, and graduated at Montana State University. Sarge’s broad shoulders and large frame matched his big heart. His quick wit, hearty laugh and easy smile, willingness to help with compassion for others, especially toward his son, Wiley, made him a very special man. He’ll be so missed by his many friends and family.
