Betty Grimes, 90, of Helena, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 19, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Betty was a loving wife and mother and touched the hearts of everyone she met. She will be remembered as one who was always willing to extend a helping hand.

Betty was born on Oct. 12, 1921, to Al and Ruth Bellows in Missoula. Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Bozeman. There, Betty met Cliff and they were married on Sept. 25, 1943, in Stillwater, Okla. They spent 54 years together enjoying family, boating, snowmobiling, four-wheeling and motor-homing. Betty also enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, bridge, bingo and Jazz basketball.

She is survived by her children, Tom (Maggie) Grimes and Marilyn (Gene) Morin; brother, Robert (Laurie) Bellows; sisters, Kathryn Grimes and Nora (Rod) Brunner; grandchildren, Kelley (Nick) Esch and Kory (Joe) Johnston; and great-grandchildren, Jack, Jayden, Zachary and Tyler. A special mention must be made of nieces and nephews, Sharon (Darrell) Vallance, Mike (Barb) Grimes and Jennie (Jim) Brickley, who held a special place in her heart.

A service will be held at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Tuesday, April 24, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to St Paul’s Methodist Church or Intermountain.
