Bakke, Judith "Judy" Ann

Sept. 7, 1942 – Nov. 21, 2017

Judith “Judy” Ann Bakke, age 75, of Helena passed peacefully surrounded by her family the morning of November 21, 2017 at St Peter’s Hospital.

Judy was born to Curt and Anna Mae Stenhjem on September 7, 1942, in Kearney Nebraska. Judy was the second child of four and the only girl. Judy attended St. Helena Grade School, Cathedral High and graduated from Helena High School in 1960. Over the course of her life Judy held many jobs, her favorite being a floral designer at the State Nursery and the Green Thumb in Helena, which she enjoyed into the late 1990’s. Judy had many hobbies including crocheting, gardening, arts and crafts and in later years being able to connect and visit with friends and family on her computer. Judy was also a member of St. Helena Cathedral.

On November 25, 1961, Judy married the love of her life, Fred Bakke. This union created four children, all of whom Judy was very proud of. Judy was blessed with numerous grand and great grandchildren who she made sure to know and love individually.

One of Judy’s favorite memories was her trip to Ireland with her best friend’s Billie Jo, DeeDee and Mary Lou. She shared many stories of that trip and we all believe she brought a little piece of Ireland back with her in her heart.

Judy was loved by all and will be missed greatly.
