The woman who died early Sunday after a crash in Helena Saturday evening has been identified as 32-year-old Ashley Binion of Helena.
Binion may have suffered a seizure while driving and died of blunt force trauma, Lewis and Clark County Coroner Bryan Backeberg said in a press release Monday morning.
Emergency services responded shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday to the area of Boulder Avenue and North Dakota Street to an injury accident requiring extrication.
The vehicle was eastbound on Helena Avenue when it went off the roadway and hit a tree near the Hustad Center, Helena Police Cpt. Curt Stinson said.
Binion was transported to St. Peter's Health, where she died shortly after midnight, Lewis and Clark Deputy Coroner Tim Wong said.
An adult male passenger experienced minor injuries, Stinson said.
