A 33-year-old Helena woman died in a snowmobile crash Saturday south of Marysville.

The crash was reported at 4:10 p.m. near the intersection of Dog Creek and Priest Pass roads in Powell County, according to Montana Highway Patrol records.

Lewis and Clark County Coroner Bryan Backeberg said Laura D. Park, who lives in Helena but still has an Idaho ID, died of blunt force trauma after she apparently lost control and hit a tree while snowmobiling with her boyfriend.

This was the third outdoor recreation death in the area within a little over a week, Backeberg noted.

Lee Schuler, 40, of Great Falls, died after crashing a snowmobile into a tree near Lincoln on Feb. 2.

Dr. Elton J. Adams, 74, of Great Falls, died after falling about 90 feet while ice climbing west of Augusta on Feb. 4.
