Everyone is invited to a free Thanksgiving meal scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Helena Salvation Army, 1905 Henderson St.
Van’s Thriftway has donated the 30 turkeys that will be served, along with mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, cranberry sauce, salad and pie.
While the event is designed for those who have nowhere else to go, it is open to everyone, and no RSVP is needed. According to the Salvation Army, 250 to 300 people usually participate each year.
Any volunteers willing to help serve meals from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or clean up from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. are asked to call the Salvation Army at 442-8244.
