A 41-year-old Helena man faces a felony charge of assault with a weapon for allegedly threatening a woman with a large rock.

Police arrested Eric Warren Reichman on Tuesday for the alleged assault, which took place Monday.

An agent with the state Department of Criminal Investigation called police after witnessing Reichman “pick up a large rock that he held over the woman as she lay on the ground screaming for the man not to hit her,” according to documents filed in Justice Court.

The agent yelled at Reichman, who responded with an expletive and fled. The incident took place on the 3300 block of North Montana Avenue.

The victim told police she was in an ongoing romantic relationship with Reichman, who was having a bad day and she had been attempting to calm him.

I wonder if the alleged perp proved he was a "real man", or that hhe was "macho".

I doubt it.
