Thousands of dollars worth of electronics were stolen from Kessler Elementary School in a burglary over the weekend, the school's principal said Tuesday.
Principal Craig Crawford said that an estimated $11,000 to $13,000 worth of iPods, Kindle Fire e-readers and iPads had been stolen from the school.
He said school staff members discovered the burglary Monday morning and that the only other damage found at the school was to a door that had been forced open.
Crawford said he hopes to either have the stolen property returned through police investigation or replaced through insurance by the start of the next school year.
He said he was not aware of any suspects in the case Tuesday night.
Crawford asked that anyone with information about the theft either contact Helena Police or Kessler School.
Helena Police Dispatch can be contacted at 442-3233. Kessler School can be contacted at 324-1700.
