Logan Guse of Helena has been identified as the 16-year-old boy who died in a single-vehicle crash north of Helena early Saturday.
Authorities say Guse was driving a Ford F-250 that crossed the center line, hit an embankment and rolled a couple of times before landing on its roof while making a right turn on Nelson Road at 4:15 a.m. Saturday. Officials say the truck was traveling too fast for road conditions.
Lewis and Clark County Coroner Bryan Backeberg said Guse, who was pronounced dead at the scene, died from multiple blunt force injuries.
Two 15-year-old boys who were riding in the truck were taken to St. Peter's Hospital in Helena with undisclosed injuries.
The driver and the two passengers were all wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, MHP reported Sunday. In an earlier story, the Independent Record incorrectly reported they were not.
