The supply of H1N1 vaccine has improved. People who want the vaccine have more options available. They can check with their doctor, attend a community clinic, or phone the health department at 457-8904 to hear recorded instructions on how to make an appointment for H1N1 vaccination.
“The H1N1 vaccination will be easier to find in the next few weeks,” said Mike Herderson of the Lewis and Clark County Health Department. “We want to make it available to as many people in the priority groups as possible. There will be 500 doses on hand for the clinic at the fairgrounds clinic this Tuesday.”
Public clinics are held weekly in November.
The next public clinic will be today, Nov. 17, at the Lewis and Clark Fairgrounds, Exhibit Hall, 98 Custer Ave., from noon to 6 p.m.
The clinic is for the following priority groups:
- Pregnant women
- Household and caregiver contacts of infants less than 6 months of age
- People 6 months to 24 years
- People 25-64 years old with chronic medical conditions
- Health care and emergency medical services personnel
There is no charge for the H1N1 vaccination.
