Marcia Wall presented Helena High senior Grayson Hilborn with the $1,500 Cleve A. Malmstrom Memorial Scholarship Tuesday.
The scholarship was established in memory of her son, Cleve, who accidentally drowned in June 2014 while fly-fishing on the Missouri River. The scholarship is open to an HHS student who achieved a GPA of at least 3.25, is pursuing a college degree in Montana and participated in track and football all four years of high school.
Hilborn enlisted in the National Guard and plans on attending Montana State University for electrical engineering.
“We hope this scholarship can help another young man achieve a college education and know, in a small way, Cleve helped through his academic and athletic legacy at Helena High School,” Wall said.
