A Helena woman is accused of keeping heroin, a spoon and syringes in her purse where children could easily access them.
Elise Kathleen Whittle, 28, is charged with possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child.
A Helena police officer was dispatched to a residence in Helena for a report of found drug paraphernalia. They found syringes and a spoon in Whittle’s purse in the bathroom, court documents allege.
The officer checked the syringe’s contents, which tested a presumptive positive for heroin, according to court documents. Two children under 16 could have had access to the drugs and drug paraphernalia where Whittle had left it, court documents allege.
