A 31-year-old Helena man is accused of assaulting multiple people.

Jordan Lewis-Patrick Wing is being charged with assault and strangulation of a partner or family member.

On Jan. 23, a Helena police officer was called to the 500 block of North Last Chance Gulch to an assault in progress.

The officer made contact with the victim of the assault, who said Wing had strangled another victim the night before, according to court documents.

The officer spoke with the victim of the strangulation afterward. She said she and Wing had been in a verbal argument when Wing put his hands around her throat and squeezed tightly, making it hard for her to breathe, according to court documents. Wing also allegedly covered the victim’s mouth with his forearm to stop her from screaming.

Wing was located in the area and arrested. He did not provide law enforcement with a statement, according to court documents.
