A 32-year-old Helena man is accused of stealing a 2007 Dodge Ram along with tools that were in the back of the truck at the time.
Marshall Brad Rowe is being charged with theft.
Officers received a report of a stolen vehicle on Feb. 20. The vehicle was left running outside of a grocery store and was taken while the owner went inside for a few minutes, according to court documents. A witness later said that Rowe “would have ran over his own mother to get out of there,” according to court documents.
After an investigation and tips from Helena residents, officers connected Rowe to the stolen vehicle, which was discovered in Missoula with Rowe inside, according to court documents.
Rowe told Missoula officers that he had borrowed the vehicle from a friend and denied knowing it was stolen, according to court documents.
