A 30-year-old Helena man incarcerated at the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center allegedly tried to break a window in a cell, according to court documents.
Christopher Ballenger-Brooks is being charged with felony criminal mischief.
On Jan. 24, deputies were dispatched to the detention center regarding a report of criminal mischief. They found that Ballenger-Brooks had damaged a window by kicking it, according to court documents.
The window’s replacement cost is $2,200.
Ballenger-Brooks was jailed in December for allegedly breaking into a home and assaulting two women. He was charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated assault and felony partner or family member assault.
