A 28-year-old Canyon Creek man is accused of having 18 grams of hash oil in his vehicle.
Arthur J. Heppler is being charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs for hashish, misdemeanor criminal possession of dangerous drugs for marijuana, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and three misdemeanor traffic violations.
On Saturday, a Montana Highway Patrol trooper stopped Heppler in Helena for driving a vehicle with expired registration while he was making an illegal turn.
According to court documents, Heppler did not have a seat belt on, had no insurance and smelled of marijuana. He handed a one-gram baggie of marijuana to the trooper and gave consent for the trooper to search the vehicle.
The trooper found 31 grams of marijuana, 18 grams of hash oil, a marijuana pipe and a hashish vaporizer in the car.
