A 37-year-old Helena man is accused of driving while under the influence of methamphetamine.
Jerromie Preston Riley is being charged with possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of drugs and driving without liability insurance.
Early on Jan. 24, a deputy responded to a report of a vehicle caught in a snowbank. The officer found Riley attempting to move his vehicle out of the snowbank.
While speaking with the deputy, Riley was sweating and had dilated pupils, according to court documents.
The deputy searched Riley and found a syringe in his possession, along with another syringe in the car, both of which tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine, according to court documents.
Riley also failed the roadside sobriety test administered by the deputy, according to court documents.
