Late Monday evening, Meagher County deputies responded to reports of a combative male and of shots fired in White Sulphur Springs, which led to the arrest of 36-year-old Andrew Lain Gibbs of Townsend.
Around 9 p.m. Gibbs had been asked to leave a local establishment, at which time he became combative, according to the Meagher County Sheriff's office.
Gibbs left Bar 47 and then proceeded to drive his vehicle east up Main Street at a high rate of speed with his horn blaring. He then pulled his vehicle into the parking lot of a Main Street business.
Calls came into dispatch reporting shots fired on Main Street, and a vehicle matching Gibbs' was seen speeding from the parking lot, heading west down Main Street. Multiple bullet holes were found in a window of a building presently occupied by Tintina Resources. The building was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
A total of 12 bullet holes were found in the building, the Meagher County Sheriff's Office said.
A search ensued, and the suspect was located and arrested without incident. Gibbs is being held on charges of discharging a firearm in the city limits and felony criminal mischief.
