A Helena man allegedly fired a gun six times in a residential area in East Helena.
Lawrence Raymond Stone, 59, is accused of felony criminal endangerment for discharging a firearm in East Helena Wednesday evening.
Deputies received a call about a man shooting a gun in a residential area and made their way to East Helena. Once on site, deputies made contact with the defendant, who was highly intoxicated and then denied discharging the firearm, according to court documents.
The deputies then made contact with the caller, who reported hearing the weapon being discharged near Stone’s residence.
Deputies found six used shell casings by Stone’s home, close to where they had first met Stone.
After arresting Stone, he apparently “made an excited utterance admitting to discharging the firearm,” according to court documents.
