Nov. 5

  • At 9:04 p.m. an officer was called to investigate a disturbance in the 900 block of 11th Avenue. During the investigation, the officer arrested a 24-year-old Helena female for first offense driving under the influence. She was booked at the detention center.

Nov. 6

  • At 12:06 p.m. a missing juvenile female reported earlier in the day was located and returned to her guardian.
  • At 1:41 p.m. an officer took a reckless driving complaint. The officer is attempting to locate and interview the driver.

Nov. 7

  • Officers responded to 64 calls for service, including five traffic crashes, a reported sexual assault and five thefts.


As of Wednesday morning, the county jail held 86 inmates (80 for felonies and six for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 117 inmates at various detention facilities. In addition, 38 are PBT (Personal Breath Test) and 31 are SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet). Ninety-one clients are serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. We also have eight testing out of county, one is pre-trial, five are GPS (Global Positioning System bracelet) and eight are on house arrest.
