Nov. 1

  • At 9:37 a.m., an officer located an item reported stolen in Great Falls that had been pawned at a local business. An administrative warrant was placed on the item for the Great Falls Police Department while they conduct their investigation into the theft.

Nov. 5

  • At 9:16 p.m., officers were called to the 400 block of East 15th Street concerning a disturbance. Officers cited and released 17-year-old and 25-year-old Helena males for disorderly conduct for physically fighting in the street.
  • At 10 a.m., officer met with a male at the hospital who reported a possible assault with a weapon. The male stated he had been struck with a baseball bat. A suspect was identified and officers are continuing to investigate.

Nov. 6

  • At 6:53 p.m., an officer responded to investigate a possible theft in the 2100 block of National Avenue. While there, he determined one of the involved males – a 41-year-old Helena male – had a Helena Municipal Court warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and booked at the detention center.


As of Tuesday morning, the county jail held 86 inmates (80 for felonies and six for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 117 inmates at various detention facilities. In addition, 37 are PBT (Personal Breath Test) and 31 are SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet). Ninety clients are serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. We also have eight testing out of county, one is pre-trial, five are GPS (Global Positioning System bracelet), and eight are on house arrest.
