  • At 10:46 a.m. an officer took a report of a cold burglary that occurred in the 3200 block of Cabernet Drive.
  • At 10:48 a.m. an a school resource officer took a report of a student that was in possession of alcohol. Investigation into the matter led to a 14-year-old juvenile male being issued a citation for MIP-alcohol. He was referred to Helena Municipal Court.
  • At 11:30 a.m. an officer  took a report of a cold burglary that occurred in the 1300 block of Ewing St.
  • At 11:43 a.m. an officer took a report of a theft that occurred in the 2000 block of University Street. It was reported there were two packages stolen from the resident’s mailbox.
  • At 1:40 p.m. an officer took a report of a cold burglary that occurred in the 1300 block of Ewing Street. The officer was advised a person that was currently incarcerated in the LCSO Detention Center had an arrest warrant that needed to be served. A 31-year-old male was issued a petition to revoke district court warrant out of Helena District Court. The male was left in the custody of the Jail.
  • At 2:09 p.m. an officer took a report of a theft that occurred in the 1300 block of Billings Avenue.
  • At 3:48 p.m. an officer took a report of a theft that occurred in the 1300 block of 11th Avenue. A person reported their wallet was stolen.
  • At 3:56 p.m. an officer took a report of a criminal mischief to several vehicles that were parked in the 3100 block of Lyndale Avenue. This case is active.
  • At 4:52 p.m. an officer was advised a person that was currently incarcerated in the LCSO Detention Center had two arrest warrants that needed to be served. A 39 year old female was served with 2 arrest warrants out of Helena Municipal Court. The female was left in the custody of the Jail.

As of Tuesday morning, the county jail held 87 inmates (76 for felonies and 11 for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 103 inmates at various detention facilities. In addition, 37 are PBT (Personal Breath Test) and 26 are SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet). Ninety clients are serviced by the 24/7 sobriety program. Six are testing out of county, one is pre-trial, seven are GPS (Global Positioning System bracelet) and 13 are on house arrest.
