  • At 12:50 a.m., an officer was assisting with a crash on the 1000 block of Rodney Street. While there, the officer came in contact with a 16-year-old juvenile male that was under the influence of alcohol. The male was cited for underage possession of alcohol and referred to municipal court.
  • At 7:58 a.m., an officer responded to the 1200 block of Helena Avenue for a report of a damage to a building. The investigation is active.
  • At 9:50 a.m., an officer responded to the 900 block of Camelot for a report of criminal mischief to a residence.
  • At 11:09 a.m., an officer responded to the 3500 block Centennial for a report of a theft. It was reported a camp trailer was stolen. The investigation is active.
  • At 12:33 p.m., officers responded to the 2300 block of Sanders for a report of a male at that location that had previously been trespassed. The officer located the male and verified he had been trespassed. The 19-year-old Helena area man was cited for trespassing. He was referred to municipal court.
  • At 2:08 p.m., an officer responded to the 2000 block of Missoula for a report of criminal mischief to a residence. It was reported a window was shot out. The investigation is active.
  • At 4:12 p.m., officers responded to the 2900 block of North Sanders for a report of a robbery. It was reported a male assaulted two employees while trying to flee after stealing merchandise. The male then fled in a vehicle and intentionally collided with two vehicles drove through landscaping trying to get away. A witness followed the vehicle to an address in the north valley where officer responded. The male was located hiding in a residence and arrested. The vehicle he was driving was located and learned to be stolen from Jefferson County. The 24-year-old Helena area man was booked into the LCSO jail for Robbery, Criminal Mischief (felony), Possession of Stolen Property (felony), Obstructing a Police officer, and three active arrest warrants. Also located in the residence was a 27-year-old Helena area female. She was arrested and booked into the LCSO jail for multiple arrest warrants.
  • At 4:56 p.m., an officer responded to the 200 block of Broadway for a report of a burglary to a residence. The case is active.
  • At 6:12 p.m., an officer responded to the area of Green Meadow and Custer for a report of a reckless driver. The vehicle description was provided by the complainants. The officer located the vehicle and made contact with the female driver. At the conclusion of the investigation, the 38-year-old Helena area female was arrested for DUI and reckless driving. She was booked into the LCSO jail.
  • At 8:21 p.m., an officer responded to the 300 block of Euclid for a report of a theft of a cell phone. The investigation is active.
  • At 10:57 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Oregon for a report of a domestic disturbance. At the conclusion if the investigation, a 13-year-old juvenile male was cited for partner or Family Member Assault. He was referred to Juvenile Probation.

As of Saturday morning, the county jail held 80 inmates (71 for felonies and 9 for misdemeanors). In total, the county has 113 inmates at various detention facilities.
