A Helena man was arrested for alleged possession of methamphetamine, a felony, and possession of dangerous drug paraphernalia.
Melvin Thomas Brown, 27, was taken into custody on Thursday at a casino in Helena, according to court documents. Brown was detained and claimed his name was “Thomas” until a police officer told Brown he knew who he was, according to the affidavit.
Brown’s car was found and a K9 unit alerted officers to the scent of a prohibited substance, according to court documents.
The officer allegedly found a pack of hypodermic syringes and one syringe filled with what later tested positive for methamphetamine, according to court documents.
