A Helena man was arrested on suspicion of felony criminal mischief after he allegedly vandalized several area buildings in May.
While reviewing surveillance footage provided by Valley Bank, police officers recognized Matthew David Dikes, 34, spray painting property in the area. In an interview with police in June, Dikes said he had vandalized several properties and admitted he was the male in the surveillance photos. Police found similar markings on drive-through posts, an electronic reader board, a fence, a storage shed and several Helena businesses.
Documents say the graffiti amounted to damages worth $2,850 to $2,950.
