Jeremy Michael Sullivan, 44, of Boulder, was sentenced to 30 months in prison, three years’ supervised release, and a $100 surcharge by United States District Court Judge Sam E. Haddon on Wednesday for possessing a firearm as a prohibited felon.

Sullivan was arrested after being investigated for selling a stolen handgun. He was previously convicted of felony theft in Utah.

The charge against Sullivan is the result of an investigation by the Boulder Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. Assistant United States Attorney Tom Bartleson prosecuted the case.
