Helena high schools and some elementary school students return to the classroom today.
It will be the first day of school for grades one through five; grade six for C.R. Anderson and Helena Middle School; grades nine through 12 for the Project for Alternative Learning/Lincoln School and grades nine for Capital and Helena high schools.
Wednesday is the first day of school for kindergartners; grades seven and eight at C.R. Anderson and Helena Middle School and grades 10 through 12 at Capital and Helena High School.

East Helena Schools begin classes for students in kindergarten through eighth grade on Tuesday as well, but the start times vary.
Eastgate Elementary School begins at 8:20 a.m. and releases at 3:10 p.m.
Robert H. Radley Elementary School begins at 8:10 a.m. for all students and ends at 3:15 p.m. for fourth- and fifth-graders, while second- and third-graders will exit the building earlier, at 3:10 p.m. every day.
East Valley Middle School begins at 8:05 a.m. for all students, and the dismissal time is 3:10 p.m.
Middle school students can see their teacher assignments and schedules on the school district website at http://www.ehps.k12.mt.us">www.ehps.k12.mt.us by logging in using their school-issued passwords.
Parents of students still needing to enroll in school should take the name and address of their last school of attendance, a copy of the immunization record and a copy of their student’s birth certificate to the proper school at the time of enrolling.
