“Bridal and anniversary couples and people responsible for other types of events can plan all their activities in one afternoon at the 41th annual Helena Bridal, Anniversary & Event Fair and Sale next Sunday afternoon, Jan. 17, at the Civic Center beginning at 12:30,” says Pearl Winsor, fair coordinator.
“We are delighted to have more than 40 interactive booths where people can get ideas, sample reception food, pick up planning guides and purchase items and services for their events,” she adds. “Many businesses are offering fair specials and discounts.”
Fair guests are invited to bring their family and friends to enjoy an entertaining afternoon of music, displays, wedding and anniversary styles, cruise wear, refreshments, demonstrations, contests, prizes, fair specials and Valentine gift shopping.
Over $5,000 in door, table and other prizes will be given away to brides, grooms, anniversary couples and the general public who attend.
Several businesses will be featured in an impressive style revue showing gowns, tuxedos, honeymoon styles, anniversary wear, flowers and event make-up.
Styles will be shown for first and second weddings, destination weddings and renewals; and there will even be a parade of beautifully decorated bridal and anniversary cakes.
Talented harper, Laura Welker, will entertain with a variety of Celtic harp music both on stage and in the Ballroom. Bayard Lenoard, popular Helena soloist, will sing wedding songs.
Wedding cake, hors d’oeuvres, deli trays, candy, cookies, citrus water and lemonade will be served.
By participating in the “Anniversary Quiz," couples have a chance to win various prizes -- including gift baskets, toasting flutes and gift certificates. Brides can “Dig for Gold” in frosted cakes to win beautiful jewelry, gift baskets or decorated cakes from eight different businesses.
The “Garter Toss” is fun to watch and offers grooms a chance to win several prizes -- such as a one night stay for two in a Jacuzzi suite, an engagement photography session, a fresh floral centerpiece or product baskets. Two brides will win cash credit at two different fair businesses of their choice.
Admission is $7 at the door. Brides or grooms and anniversary couples having events in the next 24 months are invited to preregister in any of the participating businesses, by phoning 442-4309, or visiting www.bridalandanniversaryfair.com. The general public is welcome to attend without registering.
