Each year, the Celebrating Wildflowers program, which is supported by the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest, Montana Discovery Foundation and the Kelsey Chapter of the Montana Native Plant Society, kicks off with an art contest for area students and wraps up with outdoor educational seminar on Mount Helena.

Broadwater fourth and fifth grade students recently spent time on a guided hike to view the wildflowers, and then participated in two interactive educational stations to learn more about the biology of plants and the importance of pollination.
