Little Tykes Trick-or-Treat
Dress up in your favorite costumes and join Downtown Helena, Inc. and the Helena Business Improvement District for the Little Tykes Trick or Treat on Halloween, Monday, Oct. 31, from 1 to 4 p.m. throughout Downtown Helena.
Local day care centers, preschools, kindergartens, families and friends are invited to bring their kids, fifth grade and younger, downtown for an exciting afternoon of trick-or-treating along the most historic mile in Montana. Participating Downtown Helena merchants, restaurants and businesses will be displaying the orange trick-or-treat posters in their windows and doorways to signify that they are handing out candy.
For more information contact the Downtown Helena, Inc. office at 447-1535.
Trick or Treat at OGM
The spirits of Former Gov. Sam Stewart and First Lady Stella Stewart, who were the first to live in the Original Governor’s Mansion will be at the mansion to hand out candy to trick-or-treaters Monday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Of course, they will be in the form of historical re-creators. The Stewarts might invite the trick-or-treaters to help find the cat of the former governor’s children, which some say still lingers at the OGM.
Halloween Fun Fest
The Montana Children’s Trust Fund is promoting a safe, warm, and nurturing environment for children and parents to play and interact by throwing a free Halloween carnival on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Capital City Health Club.
The third annual Halloween Fun Fest will include games and activities, such as a cakewalk, photo booth, beanbag toss, angry birds, and more.
In addition, information will also be provided to help raise awareness and promote the many resources that Helena has to help nurture children, strengthen families and support communities.
The event also includes a costume swap. Jamey Peterson of the CTF encourages interested parents to bring to the event previously used costumes so their children can exchange for a "new’ one."
Costumes can also be dropped off at Capital City Health Club prior to the event.
Last year over 1,200 children and adults attended the Fun Fest, Petersen said.
She said more volunteers are needed.
If anyone is interested in volunteering they should contact Megan Mullaney at 444-6939 or email@example.com
