The Pizza Ranch and Fun Zone Arcade in Helena will have its grand opening on Monday.
The franchise started construction near North Sanders Street in June and will be operated by the same management, Wagons West Management, that runs the Butte and Billings location.
When dining in, customers have access to pizza, chicken, a salad bar and dessert on a buffet. The menu is also available for take-out or delivery and catering.
Tim Mazzaferro, director of operations for Wagons West, said Pizza Ranch is not like other pizza restaurants in Helena.
He said the restaurant is just as well known for its chicken. Pizza Ranch also has the versatility of the buffet, with options to ask for a special pizza, such as pepperoni and black olives, Mazzaferro said. Then the pizza is brought directly to the table while still included in the buffet price. There are gluten free options and the opportunity to just have soup and salad at a lower price.
“If we have it back there, we’ll put it on your pizza,” he said.
Mazzaferro said there are private rooms for meetings or parties that can be reserved for up to 90 people at no charge. Reservations will begin a month after the opening. Pizza Ranch will also start fundraising events for nonprofits and donate 20 percent of the sales generated. Volunteers will bus tables on the night of the fundraising event and keep any tips or donations.
The dining room has monitors of the arcade room so parents can supervise their children. Mazzaferro said the arcade, with games like Skee Ball and Jurassic Park, works with a reloadable card filled with cash or a debit or credit card. The card is used to play the game, but it also keeps track of the tickets used to win a prize. Cardholders can redeem a prize that day, or take several visits to build up their tickets.
Mazzaferro said he hired 102 people for the opening of the restaurant. After being open for a few months, he expects to have a steady staff of 60 to 70 people. Prices for lunch, dinner and kids are listed on the Pizza Ranch website.
Pizza Ranch is located at 3200 N. Sanders Street and will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m daily.
